Starting in childhood, the story of sculptor Alexander Calder, known as Sandy, is told in this whimsically illustrated picture book. From a very young age, Sandy loved creating little sculptures, and this talent became a life-time passion and career. As an adult, Paris was a great source of inspiration for Sandy, and he eventually created several suitcases full of a miniature circus in sculpture format before creating his famous mobiles.
